Be sure to pinch off any excess burned char from the wood wick prior to each lighting.

Please be sure to trim your wick to 1/4 inch before each and every lighting to minimize the flame, prevent soot, and get the most burn time from your candle.

On the first burn, please be sure to get an even melt pool of wax across the entire surface of your vessel.
